The world, this palpable world, which we were wont to treat with the boredom and disrespect with which we habitually regard places with no sacred association for us, is in truth a holy place, and we did not know it.
By means of all created things, without exception, the divine assails us, penetrates us, and molds us.
Either we acknowledge that God is in all things, or we have lost the basis for seeing God in anything.
God is always doing something more.
The created world is the primordial sacrament.

Seeking the Golden Thread-Seeding the Future Every five years, the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael engage in formal sessions of prayer, discussion and discernment to determine the congregational direction and focus for the upcoming five years and to elect new leadership.
I started humming a familiar litany of the Holy Spirit as I was preparing the prayers for a meeting for the sisters.
