Our Sisters
“Dominic reclaimed the balance between the zeal that kept Jesus and his disciples on the road bringing God’s ‘good news to the poor’ and the supportive love that bonded them in common life. This was the balance that he established for the Dominican form of community life.” – from the Constitutions and Handbook of the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael
We are Sisters
As Dominican women, we choose to live in community for the sake of the Gospel. We accept both the struggles and the joys of sharing a common life. In prayer and work, in relaxation and in response to diverse needs, we call upon the Spirit of Jesus to animate us with a love of the common good, with compassion and generosity of heart for those with whom we live, and to refresh us with the joy of human support as we respond day by day through the call of the Gospel to the mission of Jesus.
