Above all, hope is based on relationships, on a collaborative connection with people as well as a higher power.

Hope just means another world might be possible, not promised, not guaranteed.

God is not remote from us.

One mustn’t close one’s eyes to difficulty and to shortcomings; the more one recognizes them, the less they upset one.
