Hold fast to dreams, For if dreams die Life is a broken-winged bird, That cannot fly.
The most unrealistic person in the world is the cynic, not the dreamer.
When you say a situation or a person is hopeless, you are slamming the door in the face of God.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts.
The only thing I can recommend at this stage is a sense of humor, an ability to see things in their ridiculous and absurd dimensions, to laugh at others and at ourselves, a sense of irony regarding everything that calls out for parody in this world.
I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love, For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.
No despair of ours can alter the reality of things, or stain the joy of the cosmic dance which is always there.
In a time of destruction, create something: a poem, a parade, a community, a school, a vow, a moral principle; one peaceful moment.
