Friends of the Sisters: We Walk the Path Together
These days we are witnessing increased social division in our national politics, our churches, and in our families. Just watching the news creates angst and distress. How do we navigate this, and how might Zen offer a perspective that could broaden our view? Sr. Pat Farrell, OP, will share with us her experience with Zen meditation and teaching, and how that has deepened her spirituality. The Dominican mystic Meister Eckhart wrote in the 13th/14th century, “What is today? Eternity!” At the door of Deer Park Monastery, founded by the late Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh is his quote, “The Kingdom of God is now or never.”
