Lincoln’s Journey: From the Backwoods to the White House
In our first talk, we will discuss the unlikely origins and spiritual/intellectual development of the man who would eventually come to be known as “The Great Emancipator.” How did this poverty-stricken southerner (yes, the greatest Yankee of them all was raised in Kentucky, a slave state!) rise above his environment to eventually strike the blow that ended our national curse of slavery.
