St. Phoebe: A Prayer Gathering

We celebrate the lives of many women and men saints from diverse walks of life. St. Phoebe is one of them.
St. Paul introduces us to Phoebe in the Acts of the Apostles (Rom 16:1-16) as the Deacon who brought Paul’s letter to the Christian Community in Rome. Her legacy offers us a beautiful, practical invitation into conversation on how women’s leadership in the early church shines a light on our continued call to leadership and ministry in the world today.
We invite you to celebrate and learn about St. Phoebe at our presentation and conversation on Saturday, Sept 12 from 1- 3 pm at the Dominican Sisters Gathering Space, 1520 Grand Ave, San Rafael. We will engage the Church’s Synod process of study, attentive listening, and respectful conversation.
