How can we describe the power and impact of grace? Our beloved God chooses to shower us with love each day of our lives. One significant way is through the gift of grace. Patterns of grace happen over and over in our lives. It is a constant movement drawing us closer to trusting God’s plan. During this morning of prayer, we will look at seven stages of grace as we face some of the difficulties of life. As we proceed through our time together, let us remember the words of the scripture, “My grace is enough for you. In your weakness I am strong.”
About Our Presenter
Sr. Joan King, OP has been a Dominican Sister since 1951 and has enjoyed a variety of ministries during those years.
Sr. Joan spent the first two decades of ministry work in education teaching primarily at the high school level. It was during a sabbatical when she was studying spirituality at the GTU that she was introduced to the concept of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM), and the introduction was a profound experience for her. Ever since she has been focused on the process of drawing on the gift and power of the imagination.
In the early 80s, she developed a new ministry called Personal Growth Project which was a focus on days of prayer, retreats, and connecting spiritual companions. On these retreats, she trained people in the GIM process with the belief that a steady practice could deepen one’s prayer life, bring healing, and create a closer union with God.
