Reflections

“Our origins are of the earth.

“We are cultivating a garden together, backs to the sun.

“Too many of us lack intimacy with the natural world and with our souls, and consequently we are doing untold damage to both.

“Be humble for you are made of Earth.

I am so absorbed in the wonder of Earth and the life upon it that I cannot think of heaven and angels.

You are above me, O God,you are within.

Francis called all creatures, no matter how small, by the name of brother and sister; because he knew they had the same source as himself.

We are hosting a FOOD DRIVE during the first week of Advent.

It may be that some little root of the sacred tree still lives.

And the world cannot be discovered by a journey of miles, no matter how long, but only by a spiritual journey, a journey of one inch, very arduous and humbling
