It’s #justiceOPportunity Thursday, and we are raising awareness of a horrifying and extremely disturbing report that has surfaced on the treatment of immigrants in detention centers in California and other states. Agents in detention camps are directly spraying immigrants with HDQ Neutral, a poisonous chemical that causes chemical burns on the skin and eyes, up to 50 times a day. Detainees have reported blisters, rashes, bleeding, headaches, and body pains in response to the poison. This isn’t new. ICE has continuously violated the rights of immigrants. They purposely harm and are responsible for the deaths of countless people. And now, they’ve used the COVID-19 pandemic as an excuse to harm even more of our loved ones.

Their disregard for the well-being of those caged in their detention camps is even more clear now in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. To take action, send an email to Acting ICE Director, Matthew Albence.
