Good Friday Reflection 2020

Good Friday Reflection 2020

Today we focus on the crucifixion or the passion and death of Jesus. Jesus shows us that death is returning to the Father or to God.

Good Friday is a vital moment on our journey to Easter. As Christians, we all know that we are called to share in the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

For some, the sharing in Christ’s passion may be intense. For others, it may be more interior. For all of us, suffering of some sort, whether physical, psychological, or spiritual, is inevitable.

We can accept it and deal with it by uniting ourselves with Jesus, who endured the pain of ridicule and rejection and the agony of being nailed to the cross. Jesus is with us on our journey through life, experiencing our joys and our sorrows. Jesus is with us today as we experience the Coronavirus Pandemic. He will continue to be with us giving us the strength and courage to go through this together, and one day we will experience, together, the fullness of new life.
