Caring for Earth, Caring for You—Sr. Maureen McInerney, OP
For Sr. Maureen McInerney, the theme of “Caring for Earth, Caring for You” means taking time to appreciate the beauty around us. She urges you to take a walk in nature and listen to the birds, and the deer—“it all helps foster a contemplative attitude. Beauty lifts us up.”
Making small incremental changes towards preserving and protecting nature’s beauty starts with the individual for Sr. Maureen McInerney, and she has committed to consuming less meat feeling it is something she CAN do, and she encourages her community to do so as well. Modeling for others she opts for black bean tacos on taco Tuesday and challenges others to make incremental adjustments.
