#justiceOPportunity Thursday: February 6, 2020
Sr. Judy Lu McDonnell, OP
Ms. Lyn Kirkconnell
It’s #justiceOPportunity Thursday and we hope you will join us in prayer as we wrap up National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention month on International Day of Prayer and Awareness against Trafficking in Persons on Saturday, February 8, the Feast Day of Saint Josephine Bakhita.
We Pray: St. Josephine Bakhita, you were enslaved as a child; you were bought and sold, you were treated brutally. Once you regained your freedom, you did not let your sufferings define your life. You soon chose a path of kindness and generosity as a Canossian Sister. Intercede, we implore you, for all those who are trapped in trafficking and slavery. May their captors let them go, and may this evil be erased from the face of the earth.
