SUMMARY:Gather@Grand—An Advent Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Vessels of Love: A Contemplative Advent Retreat  \nLed by Colette Lafia \nHosted by: Gather@Grand—Dominican Sisters of San Rafael in partnership with the Pacific Center for Spiritual Formation \nREGISTER \nDuring this tender season of Advent\, we will come together to open ourselves more fully as vessels of Divine love. “God loves things by becoming them\,” writes Richard Rohr in The Universal Christ. “Everyone and everything is a vessel in which God’s love is always flowing.” Through silence\, scripture\, creative expression\, and contemplative sharing\, we will enter more deeply into this incarnational vision: that matter and spirit have never been separate\, and that Divine Presence is continually taking form in and through creation. We will reflect on the incarnation of Jesus and listen for its invitation in our own lives. \nTogether\, we will: \n\nExplore the mystery of incarnation and its meaning for our lives\nReflect on the teachings of Richard Rohr and Meister Eckhart\nListen for how Divine love is inviting our participation\nEngage in silence\, scripture\, reflection\, and creative expression\n\nJoin us this Advent as we listen for how Divine love is already flowing in and through us\, and how we are being invited to embody it more fully. \nAbout the Presenter: Colette Lafia is an award-winning author\, spiritual director\, and retreat leader. As a graduate of the Living School\, through the Center for Action and Contemplation\, Colette has a passion for sharing the contemplative path. She has worked in the spiritual formation programs at Mercy Center Burlingame and is a commissioned Centering Prayer presenter. Learn more about her at www.colettelafia.com. \nMUST REGISTER
